Cannonball Loop
A slide with a completely straight-up-and-down loop. It was so bumpy that people got hurt, and it was closed after only one month.An enclosed body slide ending in a full vertical loop, built in 1983 and open for about a month in 1985 before state regulators shut it. Test dummies reportedly came out dismembered; riders lost teeth, which were later found embedded in the flume; a hatch was cut to extract stuck riders; a former Navy physician estimated ~9 G. Ran sporadically in 1995-96 and was dismantled after the park closed in September 1996.

It was built in 1983 at Action Park in New Jersey. Test dummies came out broken. Later, loops were made TILTED so gravity helps you round, and that is why the AquaLoop is safe today.
